4 Simple Tips & Tricks for Full, Voluminous, & Healthy Lashes

“My lashes are too long”- said no one ever!

If eyes are the windows to the soul, then lashes are the curtains and they need to look good. For the past 16 months, I have followed an easy, affordable, and effective eyelash care and mascara regimen. My lashes are noticibly longer and healthier. I routinely recieve compliments on them from friends and strangers. People have even approached me in stores, inquiring about my lashes. So today, I want to share my simple tips and tricks for full, voluminous, and healthy lashes with you.

Clean Lashes are Happy Lashes.

Everyone has had those nights where you go to bed without taking off your makeup. Occasional slip-ups like this are normal but regularly falling asleep with makeup on is big no-no. Eye irritations, scratches, infections, and even eyelid cysts can happen when small particles of makeup get in the eye or embed in the lash line. Bottom line, clean your lashes.

I use oil-free eye makeup remover and gentle cotton pads every night to clean my lashes. With a gentle upwards motion, I wipe the front of my eyelashes thoroughly. Most people rub down when they take off their eye makeup. This method will remove eye shadow but not mascara because the majority of the mascara product is on the front of the lashes. Not the back. So remember, swipe up.

The Ultimate Eyelash Game Changer

If you are going to do ONE thing to improve the health and look of your lashes, you must use Rodan & Field’s Lash Boost. Find a Rodan & Fields consultant and buy a tube of the miraculous eyelash serum. I have used Lash Boost since October 2017 and could not be more happy with this product. Within weeks my lashes were longer, fuller, and healthier. My husband was amazed by how fast the product worked All it takes is a quick swipe of the serum across a clean lash line every night. Now that my lashes are at the length and fullness I want, I maintain the look by using Lash Boost every other or every 3rd night.

Curls for the Girls

Lashes look fuller, healthier, and longer when they are curled. The extra lift from an eyelash curler helps to brighten and widen the eye area. To be honest, I do not use this on a daily basis because my eyelashes already have a natural curl. But when I want my lashes to look extra long or voluminous, I use an eyelash curler and the results are dramatic.

Watch this video tutorial for a quick guide on how to use an eyelash curler corrrectly.

My Favorite Mascara

There is so much mascara product on the market, with new ones coming out everyday. My hands down favorite, and has been for 10+ years, is MAC cosmetics False Lashes mascara in Extreme Black. This volumizing and lengthening mascara does not clump or stick my lashes together. The mousse-like formula also has a curling agent that pushes up lashes for extra volume.

These are my tips and tricks for gorgeous lashes. Do you have any eyelash advice or products that are your favorite? I would love to hear in the comments.
