How to Make Strawberry Frosé

Some of my favorite summer memories include getting bright red cherry slurpees from 7-11 on a hot afternoon. Consider this strawberry frosé recipe a more sophisticated adults-only version of that tasty summertime treat. This recipe is great for summer entertaining. Just be sure to leave time for the rosé to become slush in the freezer (4-6 hours at least).

And no need to worry if you don’t have fresh strawberries on hand. Frozen strawberries work just as well. As well as any other berries, like raspberries, blackberries, and even peaches!

Strawberry Frosé

  • 1 bottle rosé
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries* (halved and hulled)
  • 1/2 cup Vodka
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup ice
  1. Pour rosé in a large gallon size ziploc bag and put in the freezer for 4-6 hours (or overnight).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
  3. In a blender, puree the sugar water, starwberries, and vodka.
  4. Add rosé slush and ice to the blender.
  5. Blend the mixture well and serve. Use a fresh strawberry and lemon peel as garnish.

This recipe can be made up to 2 hours in advance.  Just do not add the rosé slush and ice to the blender until you are ready to serve.

*substitute thawed frozen strawberries if you don’t have fresh or 2 cups of any other frozen fruit.
