A Barnyard Bash is an awesome fun-filled party theme for both boys and girls. Rustic burlap, cowhide print tablecloths, hay bales, and colorful farm animal toys and treats are sure to delight any young farm hand on their birthday.
At 3 years of age, my daughter was obsessed with farm animals. She loved to visit our local petting zoo and ride the ponies, hold and feed the guinea pigs, brush the sheep’s wool, play in the corn kernel pit, and ride the toy train. So when it was time to plan her 4th birthday party, she asked for it to be at Zoomar’s Petting Zoo.
This is what I did to throw a fantastic Barnyard Bash Birthday party for my daughter!
Party Decor
- Happy Birthday banner made from burlap squares and pink cowgirl fabric
- Cow print tablecloths
- Cake Stand made from a cardboard box wrapped in burlap
- Hay bale decorated with burlap ribbon and farm animal cutouts ( I made these cute animals using poster board, assorted felt sheets, a glue gun, and thin wooden dowels. I purchased all of these items from Hobby Lobby)
Cake and Cupcakes
My local Albertsons bakery made this adorable farm animal themed cake and cupcakes.
Party Games
Zoomar’s Petting Zoo is jam-packed with activities and games for children of all ages to enjoy and play. There was very little I needed to do, as a host, to entertain and occupy our party guests. I did purchase this pull string pinata though, for the children to enjoy before the we cut the cake.
Party Favors
Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the party favors. Each child received a small metal farm pail filled with miniature plastic farm animals (all purchased from Oriental Trading) . I tied a pretty bow on to the pail handle with the same pink cowgirl fabric on the burlap sign.
My daughter’s Barnyard Bash Birthday was a huge success! She loved every minute of her party and so did all her friends. If you are looking for a fun-filled birthday party idea, I highly recommend this rustic theme for any animal loving girl or boy and all their farm hand friends.
