5 Reasons to Visit the World of Coca-Cola

As new residents to Atlanta, GA, my family and I want to experience all the fun and attractions this city has to offer. Today, my children and I visited the World of Coca-Cola and we were highly impressed with this museum. Not only did we learn about the history of the iconic Coca-Cola brand, we got to see how and why it has became such an important piece of pop culture. This museum is part educational, part experience, part history and ALL fun. Here are my 5 reasons to visit the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta.

Diet Coke is my soda of my choice.

1) A Refreshing & Ice Cold Welcome

What better way to greet your guests than with a complimentary ice cold can of Coca-Cola?  Museum visitors are met by a friendly employee offering a variety of cokes to choose from and enjoy.  This simple, yet special, gesture is meaningful and memorable.

2) History, Secrecy, Mysteries, & Legends

My favorite artifact was this vintage soda fountain from 1896

This year, Coca-Cola celebrates its 133rd birthday and the museum does a wonderful job displaying the rich history of the iconic brand. Interactive exhibits, historic artifacts, and floor to ceiling displays of Coca-Cola products allow visitors to explore and experience what makes this beverage company so special. The most guarded and prized possession in this museum is the only written copy of the original Coca-Cola recipe.  This treasured recipe is guarded behind heavy vault doors so can remain a secret forever!

3) 4D Movie Fun

This delightful short 4D film provides a nice break for guests to rest their legs after walking around the museum.  The movie, appropriate for all ages, details the story of a bumbling scientist and his brainy sidekick as they try to find out what ingredient makes Coca-Cola so special.  3D glasses, moving seats, and interactive water and steam sprays are just some of the things that make this movie so enjoyable and fun.

4) The Global Tasting Room

This large tasting room offers Coca-Cola products from around the world. Guests can sample and taste popular drinks from different areas like Asia, Africa, Latin America and South America. Carbonated sugar-induced adults and children race from each spigot to the next, seeing what beverages the different parts of the world like.

5) Shopping, shopping, shopping

The last stop on the World of Coca-Cola journey is the large gift shop which is chock full of brand merchandise. There are many affordable and unique items in this store, guaranteeing that every visitor can find something to fit their taste and budget.

The World of Coca Cola is a great place to visit for a fun-filled, interactive, educational, and caffeine fueled experience. I highly recommend stopping by on your next trip to Atlanta.
