Servings: 12 muffins
Course: Main Course
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground beef
  • 2 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 5 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 tbsp mustard
  • 1 can butter flavored refrigerated biscuit
  • 12 slices colby jack cheese

Equipment

  • 1 muffin tin
  • 12 muffin tin liners

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375℉. Place liners in muffin tin.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Turn off the heat and stir in the onion powder, garlic powder, ketchup and mustard. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  3. Open biscuit dough and cut 6 biscuits in half. Shape and flatten the biscuit half into a circle and place at the bottom of each muffin tin liner.
  4. Take one cheese slice and break into 4 equal pieces. Place 2 cheese pieces onto each biscuit in the muffin tin.
  5. Evenly spoon the meat mixture into each cup (about 2 tablespons). Gently press the meat down to pack it in.
  6. Bake at 375℉ for 6 minutes.
  7. Remove the cheeseburger bites from the oven. Take the remaining 6 slices of cheese and just like before, cut each slice into 4 equal pieces and top each bite with 2 pieces. Bake for 8-9 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
