This hair styler is everywhere right now. My Instagram and Facebook feeds are filled with beauty influencers praising this innovative hair care tool that flat irons, curls, and makes beachy waves on shorter hairstyles. As a woman with a blunt bob hair cut, I decided to try the L’ange Le Duo and see what all the hype was about.
Flat irons and I go way back. I have been using them to style my hair for over 20 years so I consider myself somewhat of an expert. A traditional flat iron is a one task man made to straighten and flatten hair. With a little imagination (and lots of trial and error), I learned ways to flip, curl, and make beachy waves in my hair using this one tool. That is why I was so excited to try the L’ange Le Duo; a flat iron specifically designed to not only straighten, but curl and make beachy waves as well. L’ange gifted me this multi-tasking tool a few weeks back and I love it. I have used it everyday since to style my hair and in this post, I share all the details, styling tips, pros, cons and a full L’ange Le Duo review.
What Is the Lange Le Duo?
The L’ange Le Duo is a 360 degree air flow titimuin plate styler. The clip and wand have small air vents on the outside that cools hair to instantly lock the style into place. The floating titanium plates have rounded edges and the clip gently holds hair making it easy to pull the wand through. There are 4 temperature settings ranging from 280 – 430 degrees (I use the highest heat). And the Le Duo is dual voltage, compact, and lightweight making it great for travel.
My L’Ange Le Duo Review
When I first opened the L’ange Le Duo and held it in my hands, I was a bit skeptical. The wand was so lightweight I felt it would not stand a chance against my thick heavy hair. But I decided to give it a go and try straightening my hair with it.
This tool heats up fast and the fan turns on signaling it has reached the temperature setting. I personally love the fan feature. But if you’re not a fan of the fan, it can easily be turned off with a push of a button. My first impression of the Le Duo was wrong because even though it was lightweight, it definitely was not wimpy. I sectioned off my blunt bob haircut into 1 inch pieces and proceeded to easily and efficiently straighten my hair. The clamp gently holds the hair sections in place but still allows you to pull your hair through it. It may be psychological but I feel the air vents did a fantastic job smoothing and locking my style into place. No flyways and frizzles here. Now on to curls…..
My hair is thick so I only curl the hair around the crown of my head. If I did all of my hair, it would be too big and too poufy. I put the L’ange Le Duo on the highest temperature setting, turned on the fan, and went to work. This tool can be used right side up or upside down, your preference. Personally, I feel I have better control when it is right side up, so that is what I did. I grabbed a 1 inch strip of hair and clamped the Le duo onto it. Next, I rotated the tool 180 degrees away from my face and then pulled my hair through til I was at the end. Before releasing my hair, I rolled the L’ange back up to my face to secure the curl and then gently released the clamp. A beautiful bouncy curl in seconds!
