Summer is almost here so cue all the light weight, light colored and skin showing fashion. I just went shopping last week for a summer wardrobe refresh and saw so many flowy dresses, breezy skirts, layering blouses and strappy tanks. Just as you change out your wardrobe for warmer weather, your top drawer favorites need a change out too. To me, there are 4 must have undergarments for summer every woman should own to keep panty lines, bra straps, and other lingerie mishaps at bay. 1) A Strapless Bra (Bonus Points if it’s Convertible)
I buy a new strapless convertible bra every summer. This is my number one go to undergarment that I wear almost daily. And that ends up getting washed a couple times a week. So by the end of August, this bra is pretty worn out. I always buy a flesh toned bra with light lining. The flesh color makes it invisible under light colored clothes and the light lining hides nipples without being too heavy or hot. I also like to find bras that are convertible (ones that come with removable and adjustable straps). This way you can have a racerback, halter, crisscross, and even a one shoulder bra all in one undergarment. The silicone offers more padding and cushion than their fabric counterparts. The adhesive is strong and these covers stay put, even in Georgia humidity. Each pair can be worn up to fifty times (way more economical than disposable ones) and can be cleaned with mild soap and warm water.
3) Seamless Breathable Underwear
Granny panties, boy shorts, thongs, or bikini. No matter your panty preference, your summer underwear should be seamless, breathable and just like bras, flesh toned. White, black and patterned underwear show glaringly through light colored clothes so it is super important to stick to nude tones. Seamless underwear makes visible panty lines a thing of the past.
