With 4 attachments & a $300 price tag, the newest air-styling tool from T3 promises big blowouts & salon quality curls but is it worth the hype?

My most complimented and most asked about feature is my hair. While it is a nice confidence boost for me, most of the credit goes to my amazing hair stylist. Saying that, I have spent numerous hours and tried multiple tools and techniques styling my signature bob hair cut. I have thick wavy hair naturally so I have to use some sort of styling tool on my hair every single day. So when I was asked to try the T3 Aire 360, my first blowout tool, it was an obvious yes. I’ve used this multi-setting, multi-attachment kit for two months now and it is definitely time for a review since I have some strong feelings about it.

At first glance, this pretty pastel hair gadget looks similar to the other air stylers on the market. It has a base with 3 heat settings, 3 speed settings and a cooling feature. There are 4 attachments; a concentrated dryer, an oval brush and 2 curling wands. What makes the T3 unique is the curling wands spin in opposing directions. And they are ceramic, not plastic, giving high heat voluminous curls without damaging hair. That being said, the curling attachments do get HOT!! Be sure to use the release button and only touch the heat-proof ends after styling so you don’t get burned. And the signature SoftAire concentrated dryer emits negative ions that help to reduce drying time and frizz while also locking in volume and shine.

When I first opened the T3 Aire 360 I was impressed even before I plugged it in. The packaging is top notch and I loved the purple color (it’s called Sugar Plum…as a former ballerina how could I not). And it comes with a matching vegan leather storage bag that has a dedicated interior pocket for each attachment. Perfect for travel!

Step 1: the Dryer Attachement

Small but mighty, this concentrated dryer is awesome! It is super lightweight and dries my hair incredibly fast. Using the highest heat and speed setting, I felt this worked way better than a traditional hair dryer and I definitely noticed an immediate difference in softness and shine in my hair.

Step 2: the Oval Brush

This attachment is the secret weapon for long-lasting voluminous blowouts. The oval shape lifts hair and allows heat to get to the roots. I gently rolled this attachment up and away from my scalp and achieved instant lift and volume. The soft bristles gripped my hair without pulling and created a smooth sleek finish with just a few passes through my hair.

Step 3: the Curling Wands

Of all the attachments, these curling wands have the steepest learning curve. I had most success when I used small 1 inch sections of hair for each curl. The wand does all the work for you; pulling in the hair and curling it while you hold the wand still. Each curl takes about 5 seconds to make then I used the cooling feature for a few seconds to lock the curl in place.

Pros:

• lightweight and easy to travel with
• hair drying attachment eliminates the need for a hairdryer AND styling tool
• no heat damage to hair
• multiple styling options; sleek and polished or bouncy curls
• cool shot feature to lock in style
• 4 tools in 1
• gives tons of volume and loft to hair

Cons:

• expensive (but still half the price of a Dyson)
• I feel the attachments are too large to work on hair styles shorter than mine
• the curling wands get hot…especially when styling near the ears and face
• every time I styled my hair it was different…if you like consistency and perfection with your hairstyle, this is not the tool for you

The T3 Aire 360 lives up to it’s promises delivering salon-quality volume, bounce and a radiant shine that’s hard to resist. While it’s high-tech features come with a hefty price tag and a learning curve that requires some patience , the end results are worth it if you’re willing to put in the time and money.
