We all know the holidays will be different this year but that is no excuse to not look cute for the occasion!
Are you trying to plan your Thanksgiving outfit this year but not exactly sure what to wear? For me, any holiday outfit has to meet three basic requirements. First, it must be comfortable. Nothing itchy, scratchy, or stiff because our Thanksgiving celebration is an all day affair with brunching, football watching, game playing, and of course ALL the food. Second, it must be warm. I hate to be cold and instantly become a Scrooge if I am chilly. Third (and in my opinion most important), it must have a stretchy waistband! Whatever your Thanksgiving celebration looks like this year, I have rounded up three affordable Thanksgiving outfits that meet all my holiday outfit requirements!
Sweater (Dress) Weather
Nothing screams fall fashion and the holidays more than a sweater dress. I love this long length because it is more comfortable, warm, and you can sit on the floor without accidentally flashing a family member. For extra Thanksgiving Day glam, pair this sweater dress with statement jewelry and a fun boot or bootie.
Because leggings, especially faux leather leggings, ARE pants
The comfort of a legging with the chicness of leather? Yes please! And why not throw some leopard print detail in there as well. This top is actually a “fancy” sweatshirt that is as stylish as it is comfy. Add some fancy ankle strap flats for a chic sexy shoe that you can wear all day.
Classic Never Goes Out of Style
This classic midi dress is a fabulous Thanksgiving outfit option if you are planning a more formal celebration (see how I styled this dress four different ways here). Patterned prints are great because they hide any food or wine spills. And I love how this loose waistband gives the dress a feminine shape but allows plenty of room for pie and turkey.
